DESCRIPTION:
Quebracho's heartwood is light red when first cut, darkening to a beautiful brick red after exposure, sometimes marked with dark brown almost black stripes. Fine textured and extremely hard. Difficult to work with hand tools. Rather poor in-use stability with a tendency to check. Very high tannin content.
