DESCRIPTION:   Cypress is a moderately strong softwood known for its decay resistance. Sapwood nearly white; heartwood varying in color from light yellow to reddish tan or brown. Old growth logs are often salvaged from bayous and bogs. Somewhat brittle, but easy to work. Used for exterior and interior woodworking.
