DESCRIPTION:   Argentine Walnut is a short, stout tree with wood similar in figure to American black walnut, but usually slightly softer and coarser textured. Color is often variegated. The heartwood is usually medium brown, often with black streaks and a golden luster. The bark and sawdust are used in dyeing fabrics.
