DESCRIPTION:   Redwood is light in weight, soft and moderately fine textured; the heartwood is extremely durable. Easily worked, redwood has good dimensional stability but is somewhat brittle. Heartwood is red, sapwood off-white to pale red. Its legendary durability makes it a popular choice for picnic tables, saunas, exterior siding and garden architecture.
