DESCRIPTION:   Usually moderatley soft, but density varies with growing conditions. Good strength to weight ratio. Heartwood light reddish brown or amber brown, darkening quickly upon exposure; sapwood lighter in color. Very stable, durable and an excellent wood for marine uses. Unsurpassed working and finishing qualities.
