DESCRIPTION:   Cedrela is generally straight grain, with a medium to high luster. It machines and finishes easily. Color is deep reddish brown. Density and gum content varies among the half dozen or so species marketed as Spanish cedar. Texture somewhat coarser and more ring-porous than mahogany, to which it is related. Light in weight and moderately soft. Strong "cedary" odor makes it a favorite liner for humidors.
