DESCRIPTION:
White fir is a distinct species, but in the commercial lumber business, the term often includes various other firs and spruces, all of which are soft, light in weight, low in density and rather brittle, with a fine to moderately coarse texture. The color is nearly white,with a pale tannish cast. Easy to work with hand and machine tools.
