Good Hope Hardwoods is a premier supplier of high-quality lumber specializing in custom cut matching sets of 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4. We also stock lumber up to 24/4. Our tiger maple, cherry, figured cherry, black walnut, claro walnut, and quartersawn white oak are cut by us. We go to large lumber mills or log collection yards to choose the logs. When the logs are cut, they are labeled, trimmed and waxed to prevent any end checking. When we put the lumber on sticks, it is stacked together to be air dried to approximately 14% moisture content. Once achieved, the lumber is put into the kiln and dried at a low temperature using a dehumidifier, where it is kept until it reaches a 7% moisture content.
When you purchase lumber from us, we will ask you many questions to help identify the appropriate lumber for your project. We spend many hours picking the right lumber for each customer. Often, we will pull out several sets until we find the best one for your project.
