Urban Forest Recycling salvages unusual Caribbean-basin hardwoods, primarily trees that have been blown down by storms in the Florida Keys. Because of the semi-tropical climate and unusual growing conditions of the Keys, the wood from these trees--all non-commercial species--is generally denser and more colorful than that of typical trees of these species.
